Cord Banking - Some information & personal thoughts

“I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for the Cord Blood Registry. I received promotional item to thank me for my participation.”

Breakfast at The Russian Tea Room
Autographed book by Dr. Rallie McAllister
2 weeks ago I got the opportunity to attend the NYC Cord Blood Registry event that took place at The Russian Tea Room. Here I got the opportunity to learn about Cord Blood banking and to listen to two amazing speakers. One was Dr.Rallie McAllister and the second one was Shelley Connelly the mom of a little 5 year old who knows first hand the benefits of cord blood banking.

As a mom and mommy to be again, it was an eye opening experience to be able to learn about the importance of CBR.
Cord Blood Banking cost is a one time payment and than monthly storage fee.
At first you might think it's a little steep, but let's be serious how much is a life worth, Especially that of a loved one?

Did you know that it's a safe procedure that is done in a few minutes. You order the kit, it is sent to you at your house and you than take it with you to the hospital when it is time for baby to be born.

The cord blood stem cells are scraped from the umbilical cord (painless) and they are than stored and put away until you need them. We pray to never be in a situation where a loved one needs the stem cells, but you will never have to worry if you have yours stored. CB stem cells have been used in the treatment of more than 80 conditions and are currently being evaluated in FDA- regulated clinical trials for their potential regenerative ability in common health issues that include autism, pediatric stroke, cerebral palsy and traumatic brain injury.

One of the things about CBR is that it is not that talked about. I'm not sure why doctors won't talk about it. I am 7 months into my pregnancy and not once has my doctor brought up the topic. I had an appointment, 3 days after this opportunity and I was able to ask my doctor questions regarding this topic. She said she wasn't sure, and even she was a little clueless when I asked her how I could go about getting myself a kit. So mommies if you really are interested, you must do a little research, call CBR to order your kit and do a little more research. It really is worth it and your little ones life.
It will be money well invested and your mind will be at peace.
You never know and you don't want to live with a what if?

To learn more about CBR you can go to their website.

Love,
Kary xoxo
