Achilles - Hope & Possibility 5M Race

At the finish line with my dad!

Yay - A medal & bagel at the finish line :)

Another hard end medal in the books!

This is what my weekend looked like :) It's always a good weekend when it ends with a race.
I'm loving getting back to running, I missed the feeling of my feet hitting the pavement. This is my 2nd race after V was born and let me tell you that the recovery was way better!
Every race is special but this one was a special one.
1- It was my last race in my 32 year of life (my birthday is tomorrow)
2-  I was supposed to run this race last year
I was signed up and everything but it was way too HOT during last years race. There was a weather advisory, so my family did not let me participate, I was pregnant with V and it was just too dangerous. Especially because I was in the early weeks of my pregnancy. So, my dad ran instead and dedicated the medal to V. It's hanging in her room, but last year I promised that I would run it for her and Miguel. I kept my word! Even though it was hot.
It was an amazing race I ran with my dad, crossed the finish line with him and ran for my children.
Let me not forget to mention that this race is full of amazing people! Everyone who completes this and any race whether it's running, walking or crawling is a champion!
Remember to always do everything with heart - and you're set!
