The countdown is almost over. Beauty and The Beast, the live action film will be in movie theaters starting this Friday the 17th.
We were lucky enough to see an early screening last night. Not even the nasty weather outside could stop us.
To tell you that we were excited is an understatement, and I'm not going to lie when I tell you that I was the one that was excited the most. I've been checking off the days and last night couldn't come fast enough.
Was it what I expected?

Yes, and yes!
This is not the first time that Disney makes a live action film of a disney classic movie and this time I really wanted them to stick to the storyline. There are some classics that just need to stay the same, and for me this was one that needed to stay the same.
The plot needed no change.
First let me say that Valentina went with us to watch the movie, she is 3 years old and even though I did read online that some parents didn't recommend it for younger kids under 6 years of age.
She did pretty good, when it was the time for the wolves scene I made sure to let her know and therefor she was ready and didn't get scared. She was a little bit scared of the beast at first, even though she's watched the cartoon version of Beauty and The Beast it is very different to see him in the live action form. This only lasted about 5 minutes of seeing him for the first time after that she just kept saying the beast and smiling.
Now to what we thought about the movie.
I wanted to be able to go watch Beauty and The Beast and say "oh, that was just like the original", and it was. I loved being able to see everything come to life, especially since we saw it in 3D. It was AMAZING! The scenery, the characters, and just some of my favorite parts of the movie coming together brought tears to my eyes. Yes, I did cry during a few of the scenes.
My favorite was watching the Be Our Guest scene come together, I couldn't help singing and so did everyone in the theater.
It has some fun parts with great jokes that will make you laugh and everyone of all ages will love.
My 13 year old son thought the movie was cool, it was great to be able to enjoy this fairytale movie with my son at this age. Even though the plot did stay the same, we finally get a few questions answered. No spoilers here, just know that we get to see how the prince becomes the beast and what happened to Belles mom.
Everyone in the movie did an amazing job representing each character from the Beauty and The Beast, which made me fall in love with them all over again. It also reminded me of why I didn't like Gaston. Sorry Gaston fans!
Overall, Beauty and The Beast was everything I expected. I'm happy that Disney left the storyline the same.

Make sure to grab your tickets and watch a classic come to life on the big screen.

Love,
Kary xoxo
