Celebrating 30 Years Of Under The Sea Magic With A Fun Mer-Movie Night

Disclosure: This is not a sponsored posts. We were sent a package to sent our mer-movie night. All words and opinions expressed are 100% our own.

Under the sea
Darling it's better

Down where it's wetter
Take it from me
Is it only me that hears the Under The Sea song, when thinking of The Little Mermaid?!
It's crazy to think that everyones favorite little mermaid Ariel, turned 30 years. What better way to celebrate than by releasing it on digital copy, now we can carry all of our under the sea friends everywhere. We got to celebrate with a special mer-movie night.

We were sent a special package for our mer-movie night, it included some fun goodies that would make our mer-movie night a most magical one. It also included two items not pictured above, a fin blanket and sleeping bag featuring Ariel.

Valentina immediately claimed the sleeping bag and took it to the leaving room where she set it up for movie night. But before we had movie night, a special dinner had to be made and when I think of Ariel, one scene that always comes to mind is when she's on land and uses the dinglehopper/fork as a hair brush.

That meant making spaghetti and meatballs, because everyone knows that the only way to eat spaghetti is with a dinglehopper.
Valentina loved that scene and also wanted to use the fork to try and brush her hair, I probably would have let her if the fork wan't full of tomato sauce.

What's a movie night without a sweet treat, mini cupcakes were made for the occasion.
They were definitely approved by everyone.
I loved being able to watch The Little Mermaid as a family, it brought back memories from when I was younger and i'd watch it with my mom, dad and siblings.
It was definitely a memorable mer-movie night.

Based on Hans Christian Andersen’s classic fairy tale about a beautiful mermaid princess who dreams of becoming human, “The Little Mermaid” was directed by John Musker and Ron Clements (“Aladdin”). It features the voice talents of Jodi Benson (“Toy Story 2,” “Toy Story 3”) as Ariel, Pat Carroll (“Laverne & Shirley”) as Ursula, Samuel E. Wright (Broadway’s “The Lion King”) as Sebastian, Christopher Daniel Barnes (“The Brady Bunch Movie”) as Eric, Kenneth Mars (“Young Frankenstein”) as Triton, Buddy Hackett (“The Music Man”) as Scuttle, Jason Marin (“Back to the Future”) as Flounder and RenĂ© Auberjonois (“The Patriot”) as Chef Louis. The film was originally released in theaters on Nov. 15, 1989 and is the 28th film from Walt Disney Animation Studios, and the first in what many described as a new Disney animation renaissance.
