Things To Do NYC Edition - Celebrate Mother's Day With Pretty Woman:The Musical

I've always believed that when it comes to gifting, an experience is worth so much more, aside from a handmade gift of course. Last week I got to celebrate Mother's Day, by going to see Pretty Woman:The Musical. It was the perfect date night and way to spend the night in the city that never sleeps.

I got to go with my husband who wait for it, has not seen the Pretty Woman movie.Yup, you heard that right. I'm not sure how that slipped by me, especially since I love movies so much and I'm always making him watch some of my favorites with me.
We left the kids with my parents, and headed downtown. I was excited to see one of my favorite movies come to life as a Broadway Musical and wanted to see what my husband thought about it, since i'd be comparing it the movie and he would just be watching it for the first time.

Curtains went up, and we were off to Hollywood.
As the characters came out on stage, I fell in love which each one of them. Husband and I couldn't stop laughing and being in awe everytime somebody sang, let me just tell you that every single cast member that went on stage and sang, hit me to the core. What voices!! You better believe that my number one mission as soon as I got home was to download the Pretty Woman: The Musical soundtrack.
2 hours and 30 minutes later, husband and I were laughing and sharing with each other our favorite moments and characters. It was the perfect night and way to celebrate an early Mother's Day.

One of the things that this momma kept thinking on her way home, was how fun it would be to go with my mom or sister, it would definitely make for a great Girls Night Out this Mother's Day weekend.
Pretty Woman: The Musical is a beautiful reminder of how dreams can come true, how beautiful friendship is and how love can be found in the most unexpected moment. If you've watched the Pretty Woman movie, you will love this musical. Just don't expect to hear the same music and be ready to meet some new fun characters, which is good I promise because you will be seeing with new eyes.
