Pokemon Detective Pikachu

School nights are for sleeping early and making sure that you are well rested for the next day.
That is unless, you have the chance to see a yellow, fluffy Pokemon on the big screen and lucky for us, we did. We got to enjoy an early screening and it made me want a real life Pikachu even more, the obsession is real you guys.

Have you ever seen the trailer for a movie and immediately knew that once it came out in movie theaters, you'd be there on the day it was released. That was us, the moment we watched the Pokemon Detective Pikachu trailer. I've been obssessed with Pikachu from day 1, I mean what's not to love. Can those cheeks and little voice be any cuter?! We love him so much that we named one of our hamsters Pikachu.

My crew for the night consisted of my 5 year old, teen son and mom. A good variety with different opinions on what they thought of Pokemon Detective Pikachu.
I've been obssessed wtih Pokemon from the moment that the cartoons started coming out in the US back in the 90's. When my son was born, I made sure he watched the cartoons and therefor fall in love with Pokemon as well. My mom really got into the whole Pokemon thing when Pokemon Go came out, she's quite the Pokemon catcher and plays it more than me, lol. Yes, we still play the game but right now we are here to talk about the movie. My 5 year old also grew up watching Pokemon and fell in love with Pikachu, so we were all pretty excited that the countdown was over.
We laughed, shed a tear but mostly laughed and cheered on.
The movie is fullof jokes that older crowds will undertsnad and laugh a lot, within the fist few minutes everyone was already laughing.
We all loved the movie and definitely recommend it.
I especially loved how they switched up a few things but still made it work and keep it in line with the Pokemon with known and come to love.

With it being Mothers Day weekend, now is the perfect time to grab your mom and familia, to have a fun family date :)
Then after the movie, grab something to eat and talk about your favorite parts.
It's always great to bond together over a movie.
