It's scary when your favorite classic movie is remade, especially when it comes to a Disney classic. When we saw that Disney's Dumbo was going to be remade and with human people we were excited and a little skeptical. little did we know that it would blow our mind.
We got to see an early screening of Disney's Dumbo a few months ago and ever since that day, we've been counting down the days until it was released on Digital copy so we could host a family movie night, so that both of my parents could enjoy the movie with us.
A Dumbo movie night means a circus party was a must.
Popcorn, carnival drinks and marshmallow peanuts for Dumbo, who joined us was a must.
There would also be some fun surprises after the movie ended.
Snacks for everyone were served, and it was time for the movie. Oh, and I made sure that everyone had some tissues in hand, including my mom and myself. Because even though I already knew what was going to happen, I knew that this momma would be crying again.
Those big blue eyes would win our hearts again, I mean just look at Dumbo can you blame us.
Valentina loved watching it again and was ready for the scenes (which are about 2) that scared her a little, it also helped that she had her own little Dumbo to cuddle with. She made sure to remind him to not worry, because she would not leave his side. Vale would also hide in her circus tent and made sure to come out, when the coast was clear.
This is one of those times when I can say that I'm happy that this version of Dumbo exists.
It was beautifully made, and a beautiful reminder of the importance of friendship, family and love.
Also a reminder of why Dumbo won over the hearts of so many people years ago.
It made me fall in love with him all over again.
After the movie was over we were left feeling a little bit sad and decided to end our movie night with some fun carnival games, I mean it was circus theme. Now that was the perfect way to end our night. We all took turns and at times played all together, it was a circus I tell you.
Dumbo
Dumbo is a 2019 American fantasy adventure film directed by Tim Burton, with a screenplay by Ehren Kruger. The film stars Colin Farrell, Michael Keaton, Danny DeVito, Eva Green and Alan Arkin, and child stars Nico Parker and Finley Hobbins.[2] The story follows a family that works at a failing traveling circus as they encounter a baby elephant with extremely large ears who is capable of flying.
