#NowMoreThanEver Disney Fun In The Sun

Whenever we see any Disney commercial on the tv my heart aches a little, can you believe that we have yet to make it to Disneyland or Disney World. Gulp, I know! How is that possible?! I can promise that if the opportunity to hop on a plane and head over to the most magical place on earth presented itself, we would. With that being said when the opportunity to bring some Disney magic to us in NYC for Vale and some of her friends came, we might have squealed a little.

Our original plan was to hold our Disney playdate indoors but with it being Summer a fun day at the park was in order, only hard thing was being caught in the middle of a heat wave. Our playdate was scheduled to be hosted on one of the hottest days in NYC, it would be 97 but feel like 110. Uff, heat wave for sure. That meant that some of our guests had to cancel due to commute and heat, we were determined to make it a pixie dust filled and of afternoon either way.

Everyone knows that every princess needs a castle, that meant that our first stop would be at Belvedere Castle which is located in Central Park. It was just renovated which made it that much more special. The girls loved climbing all the way to the top and talking about how Rapunzel was trapped in a castle like that. It was the perfect way to start our playdate. It was also a sweat fest which means that it was time to cool down.

Sprinkler fun it was. Water balloons, cups filled with water and running through the sprouts of water was just what the girls needed. Even us moms got sprayed with water and within the hour we were soaked, and laughing so hard that our bellies hurt.

Our theme would be Elena of Valor with some Beauty and The Beast Magic, that meant that each of the girls could dress us as their favorite Disney Princess. Vales middle name is Elena and always goes around calling herself Elena Of Avalor, making this the perfect kind of pixie dust.
Aside, from seeing a real life castle, and cooling down in the sprinklers our little Disney princesses would get to color in some Disney activity sheets and decorate their own mickey ears as well as open a Piñata. Talk about Disney magic.

It was a pixie dust kind of day in NYC for our girls and we wouldn't have had it any other way. Thanks to so many fun sponsors who made this playdate possible, a few that we were already familiar with and some that we weren't and are now big fans of. The big hit food wise was the Popped Passion cake, not only did it look amazing but it was delicious. Jakks Pacific is actually where all the dress came from, our package included one for Vale but each girl already owned one, That just goes to show how us moms turn to Jakks when it comes to buying Disney costumes for our girls who love to play dress up. The quality and detail is the best and the price point makes it that much better.
