Jellybean at her 1st Macy's Parade Balloon Inflation viewing :)
My 1st Jellybean, my munchkin completes me!
Thanksgiving Eve and that means it was time for our yearly tradition of checking out the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade Balloon Inflation. It does take place only 3 blocks away from where we live, so no rain can stop us. I get to pick munchkin up a little bit early from school and off to see the balloons we go. It's always so magical and fun to see the big balloons, especially when you find a cartoon character you really love. I love seeing everything through my munchkins eyes, it makes it even that more special. I love being able to still hold his hand and see his little smiling face. It was especially special when my munchkin pointed out balloons to Jellybean. He kept saying that he can't wait until next year, when his baby sister can really see them. It's these moments that I live for. It was a magical Thanksgiving Eve indeed, now we are ready to watch movies while bundled up in bed. It is very cold outside and Munchkin and Jellybean wore me out.

Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving Eve!

What are you grateful for this Thanksgiving Eve?

Happy Mail at my doorstep
Christmas came early for this mommy runner :)
Mizuno - Wave Rider 17
Christmas came early for this mommy runner, yesterday morning. The mailman brought me the best brown box ever!! Inside were the Mizuno Wave Rider 17, which are to be officially launched on December 5, 2013. Not only was I sent the coolest pink looking running shoes but these babies are so light to the touch! I can't wait to test them out on my morning runs with my Jellybean, the weather here has been gross. Lots of rain and wind, which means that my morning runs will have to hold off until this Friday at least. But I couldn't wait till Friday to wear them, these cuties were begging me to take outside. So off we went to pick munchkin up from school and to do some walking. So far I'm in heaven, now to take them for a run. Can't wait to see the difference between my Mizuno Wave Inspire  9 - Support Shoe and these my new Mizuno Wave Rider 17 - Neutral Shoe :)

Where would you take your Mizunos to?

A few tips to help you survive this holiday season #HuggiesLatino

This is part of a compensated campaign with Latina Mom Bloggers and Huggies.  However, all opinions expressed are my own.

Only 3 days left till Thanksgiving, say what?!?
Where did the days go, that we are already worrying about the holiday season.
Family reunions, buying a present for those special someones in your life and worrying about what to cook?
I'm happy to share with you a few holiday tips that help me survive the holiday season and I hope they help you to.

1- If you have a baby. I know one of the major things is dressing them up for the holidays. But they are babies and it's always so stressful to have them wearing their special clothes and getting them dirty. My suggestion, take them wearing another set of clothing and when it's time to start taking pictures. Which for us is usually after we are done with all the cooking. Take baby and dress them up in their holiday clothes. They have less time to dirty it :)

2- Don't forget what the holiday season is all about. It's easy to get carried away with shopping and what to buy. But remember that you are loved no matter what, remember to remind your child what the season is truly about and they will appreciate anything that you gift them.

3- Have patience with your children. They are children and might not get the hint when it comes to you wanting alone time or you being stressed. Sit, down, close your eyes and berth in and breath out.

4- Your children want to help. Make it a memorable one and find something child friendly that they can help out with. Maybe help you fold the napkins, set up the tables or even better bake some holiday goodies :)

5- Sit, down take a breather. As adults, the holiday season can take a toll on us, and instead of really enjoying the holiday season for what it is, we can end up hating it. Remember now is family time, to see all those family members that you might not be able to see all year long. A time to enjoy with your children, have fun. Watch movies, do arts and crafts, sleep in and most of all be grateful for everything you have.

6- Oh and for those messes that are sure to happen, especially when children are around let's not forget to that Huggies Natural Care Wipes with Triple Clean layers are a must. Make sure to carry a pack with you! They are sure to help with any spills and dirty hands :)
Now enjoy this holiday season!

What is one tip that you recommend to survive this holiday season?

Drink up!

Now that it's winter we can sometimes make the big mistake of forgetting to drink our water as much as we do like when it's summer time. I know I tend to trade my water bottle for a big cup of Starbucks coffee - big no-no!
We might not be sweating the same and that's why it's easy to assume and ignore the signs of dehydration. Not only are those cramps, muscle fatigue and tiredness signs of dehydration but you're leaving your body to be more vulnerable when it comes to the common cold and flu.
Some ways to monitor yourself and make sure you are dehydrated enough is by checking your urine.

This week at my doctors appointment I was found to be super dehydrated. My urine was a scary orange dark color, no bueno at all. Not only for me but for my Jellybean.  So make sure to check your urine and that it's nice and clear, the perfect sign of you being nice and hydrated.

If you are going to be exercising make sure to drink up before and during you exercise. It's recommended that you drink at least 1-2 cups of water at least one hour before working out. After that every 30 minutes while you're working out is ideal.

So don't forget to drink up this Winter Season and aim for a gallon of fluids a day!

Jellybean - Bump Update Week 27

What's Up With Baby: Baby is the size of Cauliflower and weighs approximately 2 lbs and is 14.5 inches (again, this is according to the BabyBump App)  Our little baby girl has been doing great and that makes us so happy. She recognizes her big brother and daddy! She will move like crazy when she hears their voice. Especially when munchkin reads her a good night book. One thing for sure is that Jellybean is a night owl, my nights have officially become sleepless ones and you can see it in my face already. But this is all worth it!! Our little baby girl is already a riot :)

What's Up With Mama: Mommy is already a walking zombie, a smiling, happy one :) Glucose test results came back and I passed with flying colors - yay! I can't believe that this is officially my last week in my second trimester. Next Tuesday we will be 7 months and I officially start my third trimester! This pregnancy is going by way too fast and I get more and more excited as the days go by.

Cravings: Fruit and more fruit. Now that Cuties are back in season, that's all we've been eating. We stocked up last week at Target but are almost done with our bag of clementines, that means that a Target visit is due by the end of this week.

Exercise: Still running slowly and getting some cardio done at home.Oh yeah, Jellybean and I got this! This mommy has a 6 miler to runs few months after baby girl arrives!

Feelings: Happy as can be! My boys and Jellybean complete me, they are my world and they always make me feel like the luckiest woman on earth. I love my little family.

Bladder: Jellybeans property until she's in my arms :)

So focused on building his mini lego
Done! He finished building a lawn mower
With my munchkin
Ending the night with Magnolia cupcakes

Every first Tuesday of the month the Lego Store at Rockefeller Center offers a free mini build of the month and every month we try our best to go. So far so good, plus munchkin loves legos! This Tuesdays build was a lawn mower and it was so cute. Nothing like enjoying the city lights and ending the night with some yummy cupcakes from Magnolia!

Jellybean - Bump Update Week 26

What's Up With Baby: Baby is the size of a hothouse cucumber and weighs approximately 1.75 lb (this is according to the BabyBump App) Jellybean is strong and doing great. She has passed all test with flying colors and she loves to move around like crazy when I run fast. If I slow down she will jab me really hard in my ribs.

What's Up With Mama: Mommy is having a blast while thrifting. I love finding vintage pieces for jellybean. I'm extremely happy that I was able to find her bring home from the hospital coat while thrifting. Cutest thing ever! Things that I'm loving is being pampered by husband more than usual :) and being able to take naps throughout the day without feeling guilty.

Cravings: No specific craving this week.

Exercise: Early morning runs after dropping munchkin off at school are the best. The weather has dropped and it's chillier but Jellybean helps keep me warm.

Feelings: So excited and happy. This happiness makes me feel like I'm going to explode. This is one girl who is feeling over the moon.

Bladder: Not my property until Jellybean arrives :)

Shoe Bling

13.1 shoe bling
My Mizunos just got even cooler!
I remember going to the More/Fitness Half Marathon expo a few days before I ran my very first half marathon and spying the BeeCause Sneaker Bling display table, it was love at first sight. I mean shoe bling for your running shoes to show off your accomplishments is a dream come true. Just as cool as diamonds! This girl was a little slow to buy one at the moment,  and I've been bummed ever since. That's why when I went this past Saturday to the ING NYC Marathon expo with my munchkin and dad, my heart leaped when spying the BeeCause table. This girl runner was going to get her shoe bling and what's more special is that her daddy bought it of her. He said he was so proud of me and I deserved my badge of honor! Now when I run I can look down at my bling, remember that I can do anything and that my daddy bought it for me. This girl now needs to earn her 26.2 bling!
