8 Days to go...

Valentina at 3 weeks old
What my February 2014 calendar looked like

It's February 1st and I'm feeling so nostalgic. How is it possible that last year during this time I was counting down the days till Valentina came into this world. I'm going to be honest, I was scared. Scared about the giving birth part, yes I already knew what it was going to be like. I mean this is my second child, but that's the scary part. When you are pregnant with your first child you just know what they tell you about the pain of child birth, you haven't experienced it for yourself and you think it will be a piece of cake and than the day comes to have the baby and you think you are going to die from the pain, no joke!
With Miguel it was natural child birth, no epidural and it was 18 hours of labor pain and just thinking about going through that again was making me nervous. For Valentina I also knew that I wanted to go the natural way no epidural. So, the days leading up to Valentinas due date I was scared.
I remember I kept telling my husband what if I'm not strong enough, but I'm so blessed with a wonderful husband that always believed in me and kept reminding me that I was a strong woman.

Now it's February 2015 and instead of counting down the days till baby girl is here with us, we are counting down the days till she turns 1.
My baby will technically be a toddler but she will always be my baby.
Time needs to slow down and my babies need to stop growing up so fast.

What are you looking forward to this February?

Love,
Kary xoxo
